Fotoeffect is excited to host a solo show by Matthew N King as part of this coming First Thursday in the Pearl. This is his first time compiling a show and we are so excited to be a part of it. King’s sense of adventure and stunning eye for composition, shines through in each image. With the click of his shutter he captures the wonders and the wilds that can only be at home in Oregon and Washington.

“I've been doing photography for most of my life, but the last few years have been a period of intense creativity and renewed focus. I've been pushing myself in many ways, both creatively, and technically - deliberately throwing myself into new situations and new experiences with camera in tow. Connected to this renewed exploration of photography is a renewed passion for exploring the amazing places and landscapes that surround me in this place I am lucky to call home. For this reason this show focuses on the grand landscapes of Oregon and Washington.
