We are now part of Equinox Studios – The Creative Industrial Complex - a tenant owned enclave of artists and artisans doing amazing work from blacksmithing and metal sculpture, to painting and ceramics, with woodwork, leatherwork, glass, photography and much more in between. Founded by Samuel Farrazaino in 2006 and then expanded in 2014-15, the complex offers just under 100,000 square feet of workspace and has over 125 Tenants, including two dance rehearsal and performance spaces and two painting schools. On any given day, there are about 200 creative people coming and going all managed with the goal to create thriving spaces, focused in the Arts, that support and sustain people and their art through creativity, collaboration and community.
Naturally, since this is the greatest place on earth, we love to share it with the public! You are invited to help us celebrate 12 years of Equinox Studios and Fotoeffect’s new location opening. Come and experience the Arts in the place where they are made. On top of our regular 125-plus resident artists and artisans in our four buildings, Equinox brings in guest artists, musicians, dancers, poets, demos, food trucks, bonfires (Yes! Bonfires!) and a whole lot more!
Equinox Studios, including Fotoeffect, will be officially open from 6:00-10:00pm but the music and other activities will go on until midnight - and probably later. We are artists after all! Please join us for an evening of fun and festivities! All ages welcome!
